Birds Of A Feather...McQueen AW12...
Also marking the finale of PFW was the show of the late McQueen. Sarah Burton has never failed to deliver his imagination through her own creation. And the AW12 line was no different!!! Burton can do no wrong in the eyes of the fashion world and this fluffy show was one to definitely not miss!
In a mix of winter whites, orange and hot pink, the army of hot peroxide blondes cascaded down the runway in all their beauty. Wearing skater skirts, fitted jackets with wide peplums under huge shawls, Mary-Janes with woolly socks, there was almost a futuristic feel to the collection. Yet both feminine and beautiful at the same time!
Colour was brought in the way of embellishment, jewels adorned silk and leather dresses! Everything was tightly belted to the waist, monochrome style coats with stiff collars. Fur coats were smothered in pompoms and huge ostrich feathers made up skirts! Never one to shy away from the almost costume inspired style, Burton also brought us frothy marabou dresses. Seemingly floating their way down the runway!!!
With Good Vibrations playing out over the speakers, Burton herself even came out to take a little bow!!
A true spectacle to behold. Ever the show master, McQueen simply speaks for itself!!!Xxx
