The Famous Cortazar...

You have your own line at 18. You become the Creative Director of Ungaro at 23. Now at 28 you relaunch your won label exclusively for Net-A-Porter. No, no, no this isn't a dream that i had last night,  this is the life and times of Esteban Cortazar. Back with a vengeance.

If you get chance please go to Net-A-Porter and have a look at the spread on his new line. The simplicity and feminine charm is unbelievable. Almost breathtaking! Modern in it's form yet elegant and chic in the making. His aim was to create trans-seasonal clothes, accessories and shoes in a nude palette. And he has got this off to a tee. Now you may think that pale colours aren't exactly fitting for the Fall but Cortazar wanted to get across the feel of purity and light for a Winter collection.

The collection is made up of a sleeveless jumpsuit, belted wool coat with a removable fur gilet, asymmetrical shapes, sculptural lines and minimal shapes. He has layered items with the aim of giving them a personalised edge. He believes that jewellery however should be hard with a warrior edge, but makeup and hair should be done with ease. Fairly contrasting when executed but works perfectly.

The shoes are absolutely to die for. Although they look amazing when against bronzed skin as on these beautiful models, i fear they wouldn't exactly have the same look on me. I believe however, that i may be daring and brave the nude colour palette for the Winter season. Best tried when the nephews and niece aren't around!!!Xxx
