103 Days To Go...
So may only be the 12th September but i am sat with a cup of tea, the sun kinda shining outside (inbetween rain and wind of course!) watching my first Christmas film of the year. Yes, yes, those who remember and know me well will know that Christmas has never been my most favourite time of year. Scrooge has been the name oh so aptly given to me on this festive season. However, this year, i feel that this could be the best Christmas had for some time...!
So in honour of this, slightly early, celebration of the Yuletide period, i simply have to look at winter coats. The most perfect time of year, layering, wool, endless reams of scarves, gloves, fur hats, chunky knits and boots. Don't you just love it!!!
Now i have done a mix and match of designer through to high-street, well we can all dream can't we! And the great thing is that the majority of the high-street are all based on catwalk pieces, Primark have done rather a delightful navy mens style coat taken straight from the Stella runway nonetheless. And all for £30! Amazing! What are you waiting for??!
I remember having one of these when i was 13 and they are still in fashion now! Perfect cover up in the coldest snowy weather, over jeans or smart attire for work, this really can work in all situations!
Per Una Wool Rich Military Coat. £110.00. M&S.
You can't possibly let Winter pass you by without embracing the fur. It if were possible i would wear it all year long, i am already counting down the days until i can get mine out!
Textured Fur Collar Boyfriend Coat. £110.00. Topshop.
So chic. So feminine. So effortless. Make the ultimate style statement with this belted number.
Wool And Cashmere Coat. £850.00. Nicole Farhi.
Just because it's cold doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the brightest colours. Red is perfect for the festive period and this will bring on the christmas spirit in leaps and bounds.
Double Breasted Coat. £119.00. Zara.
Inspired by Stella gone-by. A boxy cut with low placed buttons. The block fabrics make it perfectly on trend and the tweed bring just enough of the androgynous charm.
Mix And Match Tweed Boyfriend Coat. £98.00. Topshop.
Navy is the new black. And despite old traditions you CAN wear it with black. Match made in heaven. Studded sleeves are the perfect accessory and a wrap around collar to keep the cold out.
Coat With Appliques On The Sleeves. £129.00. Zara.
For a touch more colour, still wanting to revel in those summer days, what better than this orange wool coat. Pair with skinny jeans, riding boots and the softest long leather gloves for a walk on the equestrian side.
Virgin Wool, Angora, And Cashmere Afra Coat. £1,200.00. MaxMara.
Saving the best til last??! Hmm maybe. Stella brings back her menswear-inspired style, combining a tailored coat with a sport-luxe edge. It's navy, its's single breasted, a hint of colour and hopelessly mannish. Oh how i do love all that is Stella.
Donna Single-Breasted Coat. £1585.00. Stella McCartney.
Hopefully this will give you some inspiration and get you in that Wintery feel. Now back to my Christmas feel and a cup of tea. Now, where did i put those Mince Pies...!!!Xxx
