ScooterCaffe...
Escape from the hustle and bustle of London on a typical afternoon. Locals and tourists searching for the next best place to be seen, the up-coming area to hang out! Or make like us and head for Waterloo. Infront of you you will see The Old Vic, here you must stay strong and resist all temptation to enter and watch some of the greatest actors performing Shakespeare's finest plays. No, remain head strong and here you must turn right and head down the rather narrow road that lays ahead. Full of small interesting, tucked away little shops. At the far end you will stumble upon a small watering hole, ScooterCaffe. It houses a black cat and a Quidrophenia style bike right there in the window. And fear not, if you have a dislike of cats, this one just remains asleep on one of the chairs, almost like a porcelain image of itself. The tables and chairs have that vintage feel and out the back is a lovely well-lit patio area. I was rather saddened to see there were no available seats as it really was the perfect night to be outdoors sipping wine. However, we ventured down the winding staircase to be greeted by the most cosy and comforting room, the soft murmur of couples chatting, groups giggling and coffee, wine and beer gently flowing. Classics playing in the background and dimly-lit lights creating the most perfect atmosphere. And to top it all off they even offer Tunnock's teacakes behind the bar. A perfect desert to my meal in Sherlock's Bar and Grill...ahhhhh, welcome home Lucy...
A slice of Italy right there in Waterloo. Most definitely worth a repeat visit!!!Xxx
